Summer Holiday - Home security tips

The School summer holidays are well underway, but there are still 3 weeks left before many children return to school, and lots of families will be busy packing and planing their family holiday.

It is great to take a break and get away even if it is just over night, for a weekend or for longer, and everyone loves a holiday even if the pre holiday preparations keep parents busy, with the never ending lists;what to pack, how much suncream,  long sleves tops as well as shorts, will the children be entertained on long journeys and what about spending money?!

Getting away from it all is great, but coming home again can be just as good and as well as the holiday preparations there are also important things to remember to do to ensure you keep your home safe for your return.

ADT the UKs leading provider of security solutions has put together this fantastic infographic which has some great tips about how to keep your home secure whilst you are away, it is worth a read so that you can enjoy your holiday and when you return hopefully the only worry you'll have is making sure you have some milk in the fridge to make yourself a cup of tea!

  3. A helpful presentation, and a few crucial reminders. Especially the one on Facebook. It really isn't wise to let anyone in on sensitive information, such as your address, your whereabouts, and even security preparations. Much less your alarm and security systems, and where you installed them :)

  4. During holidays, one common thing that we usually do is to have vacation. Before we are going to leave our place, make sure that all doors and windows are securely locked.

And even if that were the case, won't that pose another problem, to be specific, an electrical one? There's always a possibility that a wire might short out and make a spark, causing a fire. Maybe I'm just too paranoid, but that's the case for me.
